I was referred by my regular dentist to Dr. McVaney to have an implant done years ago. Once I got there, Dr. McVaney instantly put me at ease. His bedside manner is phenomenal and what stood out is he was able to make me feel really comfortable about the procedure by explaining everything clearly. His staff is also phenomenal and they are truly professional. Once I had an issue with my tooth the day before Christmas so I called the emergency line. Dr. McVaney called me back himself and was able to meet me at the office to get it taken care of. I can’t recommend him enough.

I first started coming to see Dr. McVaney 36 years ago. He is a fine periodontist and has become a really good friend. We regard him and his staff as family. They’re funny, competent, easy to talk to, and the entire staff is delightful. If anyone has periodontal issues, see him. You can trust him because he teaches at Creighton to the future periodontists of the world.
He puts a smile on my face and I just want to give him a huge hug when I leave. He makes you really feel like you’re part of the family.

I have been a patient since 1989 and consider myself a “dental phobic”, but Dr. McVaney has alleviated many of those fears. He’s performed a lot of procedures for me including routine cleanings (from a long time ago) to dental implants.
The reason I’ve been with them for so long is because I consider them more than dentist/hygienist/staff. They’re like family. I feel that they care more about me than my mouth and it’s evident they just really care.
