Referring Doctors

When you, as a health care provider, refer a patient to us, you can be assured that every patient will be treated as an individual with his/her personal needs taken into account.  As a specialty office, we offer your patients:

Office Availability

• Office hours are Tuesday through Friday
• New exam appointments generally within one to two weeks of referral
• Emergency appointments for patients in significant distress
• On-call availability for post-op surgical care

Clinical Expertise

• Cutting-edge technology, including 3D cone beam imaging to facilitate accurate and thorough diagnosis and a laser to make some procedures minimally invasive with much easier recovery
• Surgery for faster results with orthodontic treatment (PAOO™)
• Several types of sedation dentistry to help alleviate dental anxiety, including oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and IV-conscious sedation; Dr. McVaney is also on staff at area hospitals as well as an out-patient surgical center to accommodate the special needs of patients requiring full general anesthesia
• A periodontal maintenance schedule between the referring dental office and Specialty Dental Care that provides the appropriate balance  between caries prevention and active disease prevention
• Assistance as needed with dental implant restoration when your patient is returned to you for permanent abutment and crown needs
